I was drivin in the highway 65 m/h and i was using the cruise control, just as it passed through the ezpass toll booth the pre-collision system activated and brake abruptly,i also feel that when you drive about 60 miles per hour you apply the brake i feel small vibrations in the car and finally the 4x4 control knob is close to the fan knob and by mistake i connected the 4x4 when i want to turn on the fan i think it should have something like security to not be connected so easily
Under moderate acceleration while turning left, the vehicle surged and continued to accelerate unintentionally. forceful braking was applied to avoid an accident and gradually slow the vehicle.
On december 1, 2019 i was backing into a gas station fill up spot. as i let off the gas to apply pressure to the brakes the truck revved up and started accelerating in reverse. i applied as much pressure to the brakes as possible only to continue accelerating in reverse. i could fill the truck's brakes attempting to stop the vehicle but the truck's back tires are squealing over powering the brakes. i finally come to a stop on one of the poles that protects the gas pumps after hitting another vehicle. i have contacted toyota and they sent a third party company to pull the information from the event data recorder. i was told i would get a report over what they said happened within 30 days after the third party has inspected the vehicle. it has now been 37 days and toyota is refusing to give me any information. i have done all the recalls that have been issued on the 2006 tacoma. on one recall they installed an override that would have decreased acceleration in the event that both the brake and gas were being depressed at ...
I was stopped at a drive through, finished my transaction vehicle was in park. i placed my right foot on the brake and moved the shift lever to drive. the vehicle immediately accelerated at full throttle. i was able to stop within 2 car lengths and no collision was incurred.
Tl* the contact owns a 2018 toyota tacoma. while driving 72 mph with the cruise control activated, the speed erroneously increased to more than 90 mph. also, the collision avoidance system malfunctioned and did not slow down or stop the vehicle when approaching a second vehicle. in addition, while the cruise control was activated, the vehicle would suddenly decelerate after the cruise control erroneously deactivated. the cause of the failures was not determined. the local dealer (chatham parkway toyota, 7 park of commerce way, savannah, ga) was contacted. the manufacturer was not notified. the contact indicated that the vehicle was previously serviced to repair a wave radar sensor. the failure mileage was 12,957.
With laser cruise control on, vehicle will suddenly slam on the brakes and release with no other vehicles in front of it. this has happened 8 or 9 times in the time i have owned the truck. i have taken it back to the dealer 4 times for this problem, only to be told that they cannot duplicate it and nothing was done to repair the problem. the next day i received a recall notice to bring the truck to toyota to repair a front sensor for this problem. i brought the truck in to the dealer and they said that water was getting into the front grill sensor and they glued a piece of rubber/foam over the sensor. a few days later the same thing happened again. my wife and i are afraid to even drive the truck and toyota has said everything is ok. the second problem is with laser cruise on and set at 75 miles an hour traveling up a grade, the vehicle will downshift into third gear running the tach to 300 rpm's over the redline. toyota says that this is fine and the truck has a governer to keep the truck from over revving ...
Driving on the interstate 70 mph, engine quits. 2 dash lights come on truck maxes out at 40mph out of nowhere. pulled over shut truck off and started it up no ran fine note: check eng light is now on. bad gas diagnosis. gas replaced happens 1 more time. diagnosed with bad fuel injectors not covered under extended warranty, cause was bad gas. the loss of power happened 2 other times.
I just called my dealer for a 6 month service appt and was informed about a recall on my vehicle that is not shown in your website tool. my toyota tacoma 2018 was recalled for "kob millimeter radar sensor" which reportedly could affect braking. your site is not reporting this recall on my vehicle but the dealer is.
'takata recall' secondary air injection pump secondary air switching valves limp mode don't go over 40 crude controls doesn't work
I was on the the highway today and suddenly i lost power and won't pass speeds over 40 mph very dangerous have heard this happend to a lot of tacomas/ tundras and has to do something with the emissions i think i need a new diverter valve which toyota should cover
