While driving down i95 north of sanford my passenger side rear tire blew out. tires are new. truck only has 15k miles i was driving around 75-78 mph. now i am worried that i will have another blow out. thank goodness i was really holding onto the staring wheel tight.

Takata inflators i was struck on my front left side . every panal on the drivers side ws impacte side was impacted. i was traveling bout 40mph. i spun around and ended back innone of the air bags deployed a dranage ditch.i was driving in a state highway

Tl* the contact owns a 2017 toyota tacoma. the contact stated that the vehicle failed to respond when the accelerator pedal was depressed. during the failure, an abnormal noise was heard and then went away. the contact stated that the noise was heard three other times near the rear passenger side wheel. the vehicle was taken to central maine toyota (15 airport road, waterville, me 04901), but they could not duplicate the failures. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was notified of the failures and case number: 1808280514 was filed. the approximate failure mileage was 11,000. *tt consumer placed the truck in 4 wheel drive when it happened the 1st time and was able to drive out of the garage with the right rear wheel dragging. central maine toyota could not find anything wrong with it. updated 11/8/18*jb the consumer stated the emergency brake was locking up and the parts were being to repair the vehicle. *js

2017 toyota tacoma, odom at 9250. no aftermarket add-ons: after 28 mile commute in 4x4, parked in driveway, plugged in factory installed block heater (@ 12 deg f), 1 hour later explosion heard (walls of house shook), blew hood off, up and against windshield. multiple explosions heard, front tires & engine compartment on fire, flames 30 feet high, all windows blown out, entire cabin (extended cab) engulfed in flames, intense heat fused doors closed, melted aluminum vin plate & front license plate. all dashboard and steering column reduced to ashes. dog kennel and all contents of cabin consumed in fire. canopy on long bed and rear of vehicle intact due to quick arrival of fire department. no injuries only because people and dog had previously left vehicle when arriving at home. owner had complained to toyota previously about engine smelling hot after all commutes, checked it at dealer previously to determine problem and they found nothing during exam. vehicle was rescheduled to check for source of hot engine smell, at 10,000 mile checkup/oil change 4 days after fire occurred. no recalls or pending notices known at time of incident. vehicle had starting problems even during warm weather. in town ...
