Sun visor dropped and will stay in place. no reason for this to happen; it's distracting and dangerous as it fails to adequately block the sun. there appears to be a defect in the mechanism holding the visor in place. compounding the problem is the part is not readily available at parts stores and it's pretty expensive -- more than $100 each for something that never should have failed to begin with. *tr
Tl* the contact owns a 2007 toyota tacoma. the contact stated that the driver's side sun visor opened independently. the vehicle was taken to the dealer for inspection where they stated that the entire sun visor needed to be replaced. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was not notified of the failure. the failure mileage was 35,000. ....updated 10-21-13 *bf
