Takata recall vehicle was recalled for frame corrosion and was taken to dealer and inspected 11/21/11 and results was said to be ok. Vehicle was taken for yearly inspection 5/29/18 and was rejected for corrosion which is almost completely through the frame.

I have had a 1997 toyota tacoma and the frame broke. Now i have a 1999 toyota tacoma and the frame has broken because of rust. We want to know if the toyota is standing by and repairing or if they are giving compensation for this issue. How do we find out about this? The truck looks very nice. Everything else works and looks like nothing is wrong. Something has to be defective.

I had it rustproofed and today while driving home on the back road with my dogs in the truck my leaf spring fell off the frame due to a rotted frame.
